Arena events and Gang War Showdown both use Arena missions, but their entry requirements and scoring differ. Check the section for the event you are playing.
Arena events and Crime Wave
Arena events, also known as Crime Wave, are limited-time competitions based on Arena missions.
Entry requirements
You must have reached the campaign zone shown on the event screen. Check the required zone in the bottom-right before trying to enter.

The event timer shows how long you can contribute. When it ends, rewards are based on your final ranking.
Showdown uses different tickets and cumulative scoring, as explained below.
Gang War Showdown

Get tickets and enter
Gold Tickets can be earned through the Sniper Pass or through the free-ticket advert option when an advert is available.
Open Showdown from the seasonal feature selector near the top-right of the main menu. Check your ticket balance, available Stickers and remaining season time before playing.
Scoring and rewards
Your scores accumulate across attempts. After your first mission, your rank appears in the top-right; tap it to open the leaderboard.
When the season ends, rewards are based on final ranking. The top 10 players receive an Urban Defender award for their profiles.
Showdown restricts the available Sticker selection. Its cumulative scoring differs from other Arena events such as Crime Wave.
