Getting started and choosing a mode
PvP unlocks after you complete Zone 2 of the campaign. Tap PvP on the main menu to compete against up to seven other players and score points before the timer ends.
Prepare your loadout
Choose your weapon, equipment and skins on the PvP screen. Review your Health and Damage stats, and tap the clipboard icon for scoring details.
Skins provide the displayed buffs for a limited number of plays. Replacing a skin discards its unused plays. A selected weapon skin applies across weapons rather than requiring a separate purchase for each one.
Check the Energy cost, then tap Play to enter a match.
Check the current mode
The mode rotates every 15 minutes. Check its name and remaining time before starting.
- Classic has no wind or distance compensation.
- Distance requires you to compensate for bullet drop.
- Windy requires you to compensate for horizontal wind.
- Wind & Distance combines both effects.
Results
You respawn after being defeated. At the end, your position determines your trophies, and match rewards appear on the Results screen. Up to six match rewards can be earned per day.
If you disconnect, your final rank is based on your score when you left. Seasonal trophy totals reset at the start of a new monthly season; the All-Time Total is a separate display.
Scoring
Bonus scoring
- Headshots provide extra points, including headshots that do not defeat the opponent.
- Kill Streaks increase the bonus for successive kills without dying.
- Speed Kills award extra points for a kill within five seconds of your previous kill.
- Payback awards extra points for defeating the player who killed you within 15 seconds.
Defeating an opponent with more Health also awards more points.
Frenzy
Frenzy activates during the final 20 seconds of a match. Kills during this period are worth 1.5 times their usual points.
Reviewing your setup
The clipboard icon shows scoring and equipped buffs. Improving weapon damage can help you defeat opponents with fewer shots.
Bots and matchmaking
Bots can fill spaces in PvP matches when there are not enough available human opponents.
After some major updates, players on different game versions may temporarily be in separate matchmaking pools. This can reduce the number of human opponents available to each group and increase the use of bots.
Check the App Store or Google Play Store for a Pure Sniper update and install it if available.
If you want to report a recurring matchmaking concern, contact Support with your game version, device details and the approximate dates and times of the matches.
Tombstones and connection problems
A tombstone can appear in PvP when the player who defeated you had already died by the time the result appeared on your screen.
This commonly occurs with connection issues.
If you see it repeatedly, check your connection, restart the game and try another network before your next match. If the issue continues, contact Support with the time of the match and a screenshot or video if available.
